Inter BEE 2010

InterBEE, a professional show for audio, video and communications, was held last week from 17th to 19th November at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba prefecture. I participated in the exhibition on the last day, all just to meet The Foundry‘s Jon Wadelton – Product Manager for Nuke – who was introducing the new version of Nuke 6.2 to be released in December at Indyzone“s booth. Nuke 6.3 will also be released next summer, which will incorporate real 3D particles.

I learnt only 3DCG skills while at school, and am a fish out of water when faced with marketing, business and other financial matters. “I didn’t come here to do sales”, but now that I’ve come here, there is no choice but to do what is part of my work, as a friend said. Thinking on the positive side, it was an enriching experience in which I was entrusted with the responsibility of presenting myself and Eyes, JAPAN. I have also gained some confidence that several people have already commented on my lack-of.
