China’s international visitors have rocketed to an impressive 26.13 million in 2010. It is said that in less than 10 years, the country will become the first tourist destination with the world’s largest number of visitors. Have you got a China travel plan in your mind? Do you want to have acquaintance with this country and know her special charm? If you know the ABC’s of China, it is better make a travel plan before departure, and deal with emergencies or anything unpredictable while traveling, as a Chinese I would like to give your some tips that sound scary but true:

1) If you hired a peasonal guide, do not give the money until the end of the trip, do not buy things in shops he/she recommend.

2) Make sure you bring with you drinks, snacks, do not buy foods within the visiting place, they are usually expansive and low-qulitied.

3) Make sure you bring with you tissue and toilet paper, because usually they are not available everywhere. Even they are there try to avoid using provided ones.

4) Do not believe the words like “local products”, “green products” or “all natural”, usually the salers are liars.

5) Take care of your belongs, do not put your wallet in the pants pocket, do not put your bag on the back, do not wear expensive jewelries, watches or things with famous brand logos.

6) Take a plane if possible, second choice is to take a train, if you have to take a bus, do not take the car running by local people without licenses.

7) Best time to come to China is Spring and Autumn, but make sure you don’t come during May 1st – 10th and October 1st – 10th.

8) If you take with you your kids, do make sure you keep an eye on them, the advice is do not take a kid with you.

9) Do not take too much cash with you, credit card can be used almost everywhere in China.

10) Do not go to any entertainment places alone during night, if you go, go with a group, better if with one or two Chinese.

11) Make sure you take a navigation tool with you, if you get lost, ask people around, but make sure you ask more than one person, if answers are the same, you can go ahead.

I think at least once one should come to China in one’s lifetime. It an wonderful place to just take a trip. But if you do come to China always remember these lines. And in one word, do not trust others too easy.
