This is an important concept in many of life’s situations. Similar to how we have to cooperate in our daily lifes to seal deals, make tedious tasks more endurable or get something done in a more speedy way we have to rely on cooperation very much in software development and IT projects in general.

To develop a great product alone is an almost impossible task since the required expertise usually has to span across several fields of knowledge. To create a meaningful product it needs the software developers which are writing the actual code and solving many logical questions. The first level of cooperation is the cooperation between the developers themselves. The are working on a product together, giving hints and sharing their knowlegde with fellow coworkers. If already this group can share knowledge and work more efficiently with a proper project management software and version control system (and also a mutually agreed on way of doing things), they will have a big advantage over their competitors.

To make the software product compelling to the user the outer shell has to be at least as good-looking as the innards. Moreover the looks should not be just sprinkled on top of the code, but be integrated into the applicaation design from the beginning. For this point the cooperation between developers and creative designers is important. People with different background and different mindsets have to be able to listen to each others ideas and find a consensus of how to proceed.

Of course these are not the only layers between which cooperation is an integral part. Also management, PR and networking teams have to work towards the ultimate common goal to realise the big dream and to finalise the product in a way it would never be possible for teams who don’t have this exemplary cooperation.

Here at Eyes, JAPAN we take the cooperation to a whole other level by integrating team members from many nations around the world. This enables us to have a much broader view of what happens in the world as well as a much wider range of opinions and viewpoints. By streamlining this connections we can look into the future with our eyes wide open.
